Independence Day falls on a Friday this year, which means an entire weekend of patriotic fun and fireworks throughout San Antonio! Whether you're looking for big city celebrations, small-town charm, or a day packed with family-friendly activities, we've rounded up the best places to catch the fireworks and celebrate the red, white, and blue.

 

🌟 Festivals in San Antonio

The H-E-B Fourth of July Celebration
Woodlawn Lake Park
Start your day with fitness classes, browse local vendor booths, and enjoy carnival-style fun all leading up to a fireworks and drone show that lights up the sky at 9 p.m. This free event kicks off at 8 a.m. and is perfect for families!

31st Annual 4th of July Celebration & Fireworks Spectacular
Raymond Rimkus Park, Leon Valley
Spend the day enjoying food vendors, small business booths, and a festive parade before the big fireworks finale. A great option for those on the northwest side of town.

Stars & Stripes Salute
Plaza de Valero at the Alamo
Kick off your celebration at 9 a.m. with games and family activities in the heart of downtown. Stay for the US Air Force Band of the West at 7 p.m. and catch the fireworks at 9:30 p.m.

San Antonio Missions Post-Game Fireworks
Thursday, July 3
Baseball fans, don’t miss the Missions game against the Corpus Christi Hooks followed by a fireworks show and live music from Texas country favorite Wade Bowen.

Friday, July 4 & Saturday, July 5
Experience fireworks with a twist: 30 launch points for a 360-degree spectacle! Return the next day for another round of fun and fireworks at Lone Star Lil’s at 9:15 p.m.

SeaWorld’s Fourth of July Fireworks Spectacular
Friday, July 4 & Saturday, July 5
With your general admission, enjoy all-day shows and attractions before the Bayside fireworks begin at 9:45 p.m., synced to a patriotic musical score.

Helotes Independence Day Celebration
Helotes Festival Grounds
Arrive at 6 p.m. for live music and over 70 local vendors. The fireworks show starts at approximately 9:15 p.m.

Boerne Independence Day Fireworks Show
Boerne City Park
Bring lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy a 20-25 minute fireworks display starting around 9 p.m. Bonus: parade and festivities kick off earlier in the day!

New Braunfels Fourth of July Spectacular
Landa Lake & Downtown New Braunfels
Start with the 9:15 a.m. parade downtown, then enjoy patriotic tunes at Main Plaza. Cap off the night with a dazzling fireworks display over Landa Lake at 9:15 p.m.

 

🔹 Bonus: Not Into Fireworks? No Problem.

You can still celebrate without the booms. Head to a local market, enjoy a parade, hop on the water for a paddle session, or check out live music at your favorite brewery or park. San Antonio knows how to party on the 4th!
