by Kristen Smith, Realtor

San Antonio is gearing up to host one of the biggest sporting events of the year—the 2025 NCAA Men’s Final Four. Taking place on April 4 and 7 at the Alamodome, this highly anticipated event is expected to bring over 100,000 visitors to the city, along with a massive $400 million economic impact.

San Antonio’s Role in the NCAA Final Four

San Antonio has a long-standing history with the NCAA, having hosted multiple tournament rounds, regionals, and Final Four events since 1997. This year marks the fifth time the city has been selected to host the Men’s Final Four—a testament to its top-tier facilities and vibrant sports culture.

The San Antonio Local Organizing Committee (SALOC), led by Chairman Pat Frost and Executive Director Elena Wells, has been planning the event for years. With $24 million allocated for event production—$20 million of which comes from SALOC’s private fundraising and state support—the city is pulling out all the stops to make this event a success.
