Love is in the air in San Antonio! If you and your partner are ready to tie the knot, Bexar County is bringing back its beloved Valentine’s Day tradition—free mass weddings at the Bexar County Courthouse.
For 35 years, this event has helped couples celebrate their love in a memorable way, with hundreds of lovebirds saying “I do” together on the iconic courthouse steps. Whether you're eloping or just looking for a special way to celebrate, this is the perfect opportunity to start your next chapter.

💍 Ceremony Times:
- 12:01 AM (Midnight Ceremony)
- 10:00 AM
- 12:00 PM (Noon Ceremony & Love Stamp Unveiling)
- 2:00 PM
The event is officiated by Bexar County Clerk Lucy Adame-Clark, ensuring a romantic and unforgettable experience for all.
🎉 Pre-Wedding Block Party
Before the first ceremony at midnight, enjoy a newlywed block party on Main Plaza on Feb. 13 from 10 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. It’s the perfect way to kick off your big day!
How to Participate
Couples must obtain a marriage license at least 72 hours prior to the ceremony unless:
✔ One partner is active-duty military.
✔ A 72-hour waiver is signed by a judge.
✔ The couple has completed an approved premarital education course.
💰 Marriage License Fee: $80

- Open Monday–Friday (8 AM–5 PM), Wednesdays until 5:45 PM
- "Records on the Run" Mobile Unit for additional convenience

While the weddings are free, a $20 donation is suggested to support the Bexar County Family Justice Center, which assists victims of domestic violence.
