Things to Do in San Antonio This Weekend: June 12–14, 2026

Looking for things to do in San Antonio this weekend?

Whether you're a local family, new to the area, or planning a move to Military City USA, there are plenty of family-friendly events happening across San Antonio and the surrounding Hill Country June 12–14. From FIFA World Cup watch parties and farmers markets to SpaceCon, rodeos, outdoor movies, and dinosaur exhibits, there's something for everyone this weekend.

FIFA World Cup Fever Comes to San Antonio

While San Antonio isn't an official host city for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, local soccer fans will still have plenty of opportunities to join the excitement.

The biggest local watch party kicks off this weekend at The Rock at La Cantera, which will serve as San Antonio's official World Cup watch party destination throughout the tournament. Fans can watch matches, participate in giveaways, and even enter for a chance to win FIFA World Cup tickets.

Some of the most anticipated matches this weekend include:

• USA vs. Paraguay – Friday, June 12
• Brazil vs. Morocco – Saturday, June 13
• Germany vs. Curaçao – Sunday, June 14 (Houston)
• Netherlands vs. Japan – Sunday, June 14 (Dallas/Arlington)

If you're willing to make a road trip, Houston and Dallas are the closest host cities to San Antonio.

SpaceCon San Antonio

One of the biggest family attractions of the weekend is SpaceCon San Antonio at Freeman Coliseum.

This three-day event brings together celebrities from Star Wars, Star Trek, Marvel, Reacher, and more. Expect celebrity panels, cosplay competitions, photo opportunities, collectibles, vendors, and family-friendly entertainment. Featured guests include Alan Ritchson, Kate Mulgrew, Jeri Ryan, Robert Picardo, Emily VanCamp, and many others.

If you have sci-fi fans in your family, this is likely the biggest event happening in San Antonio this weekend.

Relocating to San Antonio?

One of the things families love most after moving here is discovering how much there is to do every weekend.

From world-class attractions and cultural events to farmers markets, outdoor festivals, rodeos, and professional sports, San Antonio offers activities for every age and interest.

And because San Antonio stretches across more than 500 square miles, where you choose to live can have a big impact on your access to events, schools, restaurants, and entertainment.

As an Air Force veteran and San Antonio Realtor who has helped more than 225 families relocate to the area, I help military and civilian families find not only the right home, but the right community for their lifestyle.

If you're planning a move to San Antonio and want local guidance, I'd be happy to help.
