Game time is almost here! In less than 70 days, San Antonio will once again be at the center of college basketball madness as the NCAA Men’s Final Four takes over the Alamodome from Saturday, April 5, through Monday, April 7. 

 

This marks the fifth time San Antonio has hosted the Men’s Final Four, reinforcing its status as a top-tier destination for major sporting events. Beyond the on-court action, the weekend is projected to inject $440 million into the local economy, making it one of the city’s biggest events of the year.

Final Four Fan Events in San Antonio

 

San Antonio is rolling out a weekend packed with entertainment beyond the games themselves. Here’s a breakdown of all the events happening across the city: 

 

Fan Fest

Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center

What to Expect: Interactive basketball games, autograph sessions, celebrity appearances, NCAA championship trophy photo ops, exclusive merch, and more. 

 

March Madness Music Festival

What to Expect: A special event for kids 18 and under, where participants get to dribble through downtown San Antonio while receiving free shirts and basketballs.

What to Expect: Live watch parties, food and drink vendors, pep rallies, giveaways, and basketball-themed games and activities. 

 

Championship River Parade

What to Expect: A classic San Antonio-style celebration of the new NCAA Champions with a festive river parade. 

 

Parking & Transportation Tips

 

With downtown San Antonio buzzing with events, expect heavy traffic and road closures. But don’t worry—here’s how to make getting around easier: 

 

- VIA Park & Ride: VIA Metropolitan Transit is offering its Park & Ride service from designated locations to downtown events. 

- Modified Bus Routes: VIA will also have adjusted routes to help visitors and locals navigate the city. 

- Free Alamodome Parking: Attendees of the games and Fan Events can park at the Alamodome for free. 

- Rideshare & Walkability: Given the crowd sizes, consider using rideshare services or walking to venues when possible. 

 

Leaving a Legacy in San Antonio

- The Boys & Girls Club Rayburn Clubhouse gymnasium will receive a major renovation with upgrades that will benefit the entire community.
